Cooksgap Cottage is set within the owner’s walled garden and is situated a short walk from the town centre which has a unique combination of quaint streets, alleyways and niche businesses. Shipston on Stour has a great deal to offer the visitor with a variety of independent retailers who sell practically everything from contemporary art and crafts through to locally produced food. There is a great choice of places to eat out in the local Pubs, Hotels, Restaurants and Take-Aways.

Or why not take a walk in the surrounding countryside? Within just a few minutes you can be walking alongside the River Stour on one of the many public footpaths around the town.

The Historical Market Town of Shipston-on-Stour

The small market town of Shipston-on-Stour is situated in South Warwickshire and ideally located for visitors to Stratford-upon-Avon and the Cotswolds and is surrounded by places of interest including Chipping Campden, Broadway, and Moreton-in-Marsh. The towns name derives from being known in ancient times as 'Sheep-wash-Town'. Shipston was for a long time an important sheep market town and after the demand for local wool began to diminish the town continued to flourish thanks to the opening in 1836 of a branch line from the horse-powered tramway built a decade before to link Stratford with Moreton-in-Marsh. The line became a modern railway in 1889. The town was also an important coaching town with many of the inns from that era surviving in the area of the High Street.

- Open plan living area with colour TV and a fully fitted kitchen containing a comprehensive range of equipment including washing machine/dryer, electric oven/hob, and fridge.
- Upstairs there is one bedroom with double bed and a bathroom with full sized bath and electric shower over. The bed has a duvet and pillows and can be made up ready for your arrival. Towels and tea towels can be provided if required.
- There is access through patio doors from the living room onto a paved area with table and chairs.
- The cottage is double glazed and centrally heated.
